Triple Stabbing in Clapham Leaves One Dead and Two Hospitalised

Young Offenders

A fatal stabbing in Clapham has left one person dead and two others injured in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to Wandsworth Road, on the border of Clapham and Battersea, shortly after 4 a.m. Paramedics arrived to find three victims at the scene. Despite efforts from emergency responders, one individual was pronounced dead. Two others were rushed to hospital, one to a major trauma centre.

The incident has led to the closure of Wandsworth Road between Queenstown Road and Lambourn Road. This disruption is affecting traffic between Clapham Junction and Clapham Old Town, with three bus routes currently diverted.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 4:07 a.m. today (Sunday, 29 September) to reports of a stabbing incident in Wandsworth Road. We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, and London's Air Ambulance. Our crews treated three people at the scene. Sadly, one person died. Another was taken to a major trauma centre, and a third was conveyed to hospital."

The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing, with police appealing for any witnesses or information that might assist their enquiries.
